Styling Tips

Good preparation is half the battle....

Together, we work towards an optimal presentation.

You handle the preparation, and we take care of the rest!

“Do I need to tidy up the house?”
This is the most frequently asked question, and also the hardest to answer…
We’ve never been to your house before, and everyone has a different idea of what clean and tidy means.

We always say… “Make it look as if your in-laws are visiting for the first time.”
You can’t put everything away, but good preparation is half the battle (for us).

Below are some tips you can use as you begin preparing for the appointment.

  • Store loose accessories and personal items, such as remote controls, magazines, slippers, shoes, and unnecessary decorations.
  • Show as much of the floor as possible; too many rugs, vases, and accessories can make the space feel smaller.
  • Clear items on and under cabinets.
  • Tidy up the windowsill; too many pots, figurines, etc., can be distracting.
  • Clean, dust, and mop the space.
  • Fluff the cushions, neatly arrange blankets, and remove dead leaves from plants and flowers.
  • Store any loose toys and put aside unnecessary items; a play kitchen or larger toys are no problem.
